We thought as much.
This must be the fastest that a mystery celebrity feud has been mentioned, speculated upon, escalated and confirmed in celebrity feud history.
When Taylor Swift told Rolling Stone magazine that one of the tracks on her upcoming studio album is about a rival singer and goes by the name of ‘Bad Blood’, it took about ten minutes before hardcore fans began to speculate that it was about popstar Katy Perry.
The clues were in Taylor’s apparently not-so-subtle description of their relationship, where she says:
“For years I was never sure if we were friends or not.
“She would come up at awards shows, say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’
“She did something so horrible, I was like, ‘We’re just straight-up enemies’.
“It wasn’t even about a guy! She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour – she tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”
Tay-Tay probably thought that she was being super stealthy but nothing gets past the fans, who noticed that not so long ago a load of Taylor Swift’s dancers appeared to disappear from her tour and show up on Katy Perry’s.
Katy didn’t take long to hit back, adding fuel to the fire by tweeting: “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…” Soon after Taylor’s interview broke.

And now, a resurfaced interview with dancer Lockhart Brownlie appears to confirm that it is absolutely true that dancers jumped ship and left poor Taylor high and dry after Katy hired them mid-way through Taylor’s Red tour to perform on her own Prism one.
In the interview, which took place last year, Lockhart tells Examiner that he toured with Katy on her Part Of Me tour and when it wrapped up he and some other dancers auditioned to be a part of Taylor’s Red tour.
And here is what he says happened next: “I was with Taylor for the first six months, it was a great experience and she is a great person to work with but then Katy contacted us.
“Obviously we were with Katy for two and a half years, she’s like family to us, so we were like ‘absolutely’. We weren’t really dancing in Taylor’s tour anyway so I had got a little bored and I really wanted to do a promo tour.
“The experiences were completely different. Taylor is very untouchable – when we did see her we had so much fun with her, but she’s a lot more protected than Katy.
“Katy is 28 and can do her own thing. Her team are so lovely and we have a good connection.”
It all sounds rather messy, doesn’t it?
But this pretty much serves as the final confirmation that ‘Bad Blood’ is indeed about Katy Perry, because we can’t imagine ANOTHER popstar has hired a bunch of people from underneath Taylor on top of this.
Although we’re still undecided on whether or not Katy was actively trying to “sabotage” the red tour… We think that there is still a lot more to come from these two and we can’t WAIT to listen to ‘Bad Blood’ to find out.
