Taylor Swift has once again managed to turn our hearts into mush and our feels into tears after taking the time to meet one of her fans when she was passing through Delaware.
However, Victoria Marsh isn’t an ordinary fan – the thirteen year old has Down Syndrome and was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma, which is a form of bone cancer and resulted in her having to have her left leg amputated.
It truly is heartbreaking.
The teen gained the support of her local police department, with one member of the Dover Police going viral after he uploaded a parody video of himself dancing along to TayTay whilst driving around in his car, with the vid being made in Victoria’s honour.
The officers reportedly ended up getting free tickets to one of Taylor’s shows, and of course they promptly passed them over to Victoria’s family but sadly her doctors deemed the poorly fan too ill to go as she was undergoing chemotherapy at the time.
Not to be deterred, the coppers helped make a YouTube video that detailed Victoria’s fight with the hope of helping her to meet her idol and, true to Taylor Swift form, the pop princess soon caught wind of it and didn’t hesitate in making Victoria’s dreams come true.
TOO. MUCH. CUTE.
Buzzfeed report that Taylor and her team arranged to meet the teen, with Victoria’s mum, Karen, sharing: “It was an incredible and very memorable evening and Victoria is a very grateful girl.”
Gah, has anybody else got a tear in their eye? Or is it just us?
