The Jump’s Jodie Kidd Splits From Husband David Blakeley After Just Four Months Of Marriage

She claimed that he was the love of her life when they tied the knot back in August, but just four months later Jodie Kidd has announced that she’s divorcing David Blakeley.

The 35-year-old model, who is gearing up to appear in the new series of The Jump, has reportedly admitted that the pair rushed into marriage after meeting in January last year.

*Sob*.

Jodie told The Sun: “It’s with sadness that David and I have separated. My priority remains my son Indio.”

A friend of hers added: “She now admits they rushed into the marriage and they didn’t really know each other well enough to make such a big commitment.

It just wasn’t working so they mutually made the difficult decision to end things rather than stay in a relationship that didn’t have a future.”

Just a few months ago, the rather gorgeous (and VERY leggy) model was gushing about her author hubbie after their romantic Sussex Wedding.

She told Hello: “As soon as David and I met, I went through a huge 360 in my mind and thought, “that’s it, we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together”.

Everything has changed in my life. He has given me the confidence to go and conquer the world.”

Oh, how quickly things change!

The pair got engaged just TWO MONTHS after meeting in January last year (we’re barely onto a third date by then) and walked down the aisle that summer.

Jodie married her first husband, Aidan Butler, back in 2005 but they split up just 18 months later. She then had a baby son with polo player Andrea Vianini in 2011, but they called time on their relationship two years later.

The dramatic split might have something to do with Jodie’s decision to step in and do The Jump at the last minute, replacing Sally Bercow.

A source said: “Jodie spent the new year with her son and family skiing and was due to come back, but then she got the call to do ‘The Jump’.

“It’s been a great distraction given what she’s going through and has let her escape the situation a bit, keep busy and work out what to do in future.”

Despite joining so late in the game, we reckon that Jodie is definitely one to keep our eye on.
