Voice UK winning judge Ricky Wilson was still in a state of complete shock and disbelief when he woke up this morning, and by the look of things he isn’t the only BBC One mentor who is unable to process Stevie McCrorie’s triumph in last night’s live final.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman took home the glory when the British public voted his act as this year’s winner, and it sounds like he can’t quite believe his luck.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, Ricks simply wrote: “Hang on guys… Did we win? X thank you.”

YES, YES YOU DID WIN, BABES, DRINK ALL THE CHAMPERS AND HAVE A CELEBRATORY BOOGIE.
Stevie fought off competition from opera singer Lucy O’Byrne, who was on will.i.am’s team, and he was absolutely chuffed to bag the top prize.
Speaking after his win, the 29-year-old gushed: “I’m so lost for words right now. I can’t thank everyone enough for doing this for me.
“I never thought this was possible.”
His debut single, which is a cover of Adam Levine’s ‘Lost Stars’, was released onto iTunes straight away and he managed to nab the number one spot in a matter of hours, pretty nifty, right?
However, one judge who was slightly less than pleased with the Scottish star’s accomplishment was Lucy’s mentor Will, and he sided with disgruntled viewers who took to Twitter to claim that the Dublin-born-singer had been “robbed”, although Will was quick to point out that it was all their bloomin’ fault that she didn’t take home the gold.
Retweeting a message of support from his followers, Will quipped: “She wasn’t robbed….we just weren’t voting on Twitter for us to all see It in real time [sic]“
