We’ve all been there.
You buy a lottery ticket, win the jackpot and then discover that all the numbers have been…erm… stuck on with glue?!
Apparently this is EXACTLY what happened to X Factor contestant Ten Senah, who presented a faked ticket to Camelot only to be delivered the crushing news that it wasn’t valid.
All a bit awkward.
The wannabe star, who was put through to bootcamp on Sunday night’s show after getting yeses from Simon, Cheryl and Louis, told The Sun that she was JUST as confused as them that the ticket had been tampered with.
She said: “I’m numb, I was planning the house, the car, everything. Nothing prepares you for that moment – and then to have it taken away again, it’s the cruellest thing in the world.”
After Camelot told Ten that they couldn’t pay out because the numbers had been stuck on with glue – WITH GLUE – she marched round to the shopkeeper she’d bought the ticket form the confront him.
But, BIZARRELY, he knew nothing about it.
Ten added: “There’s no way any of my friends would have got into my bag. I kept the ticket in my diary, really safe. I had no idea how this would have happened.
“It’s the real ticket, that’s it – why would I have gone to Camelot and gone to the guy in the shop if I didn’t truly believe I had won?
“I know it’s totally crazy, I couldn’t believe it myself.”
One of life’s little mysteries, eh, Ten?
