Former The Only Way Is Essex star, Cara Kilbey, has shared the devastating news that she has suffered a miscarriage five months into her pregnancy.
The 27-year-old announced that she was pregnant just weeks after her best friend, Billi Mucklow, revealed that she was expecting over Christmas, and the two girls were excited to be going through the milestone together – saying that their babies will be “mini besties”.
A spokesperson for Cara told The Mirror earlier today: “It is with great sadness that I must inform you, that last week Cara Kilbey suffered a late miscarriage.
“Cara was over five months pregnant when she lost her baby.
“Cara and her partner are devastated at the loss and will not be commenting further on this deeply upsetting matter.
“I hope their privacy is respected in order to give them time to grieve and seek support.”
The spokesperson went on to add: “Cara would like to thank Sands, the Stillbirth And Neonatal Death charity, for their tremendous support.
“As a charity Sands is there to help and support anyone affected by the death of a baby.”
After the news went public, Cara took to Twitter to share the quote: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, captioned with a broken heart.
@carakilbey love you with all my heart ❤️
