TOWIE’s Gemma Collins Says Her Comments Defending Dan Osborne’s Death Threats Were ‘Taken Out Of Context’

TOWIE‘s Gemma Collins has defended herself over some, erm, bizarre comments she allegedly made about Dan Osborne being fired from the reality show.

It was reported that Gemma had defended Dan after recordings of him threatening to stab Megan Tomlin emerged, with the TOWIE girl apparently saying it was pretty “normal” behaviour in Essex.

Errrr, sorry, what?

The 34-year-old reportedly told The Mirror: “People say things in temper. That’s what all the Essex boys say to their girlfriends.

“Death threats? Yeah, that’s Essex boys for you. I’ve had boyfriends say to me if I ever leave them they will kill me. In Essex it’s a normal thing.

“[Dan] was never going to kill her and I think he deserves to make a comeback to the show.”

Yikes.

The reality TV star also defended Mario Falcone, who was recently suspended for allegedly promoting slimming pills on his social media.

She continued: “It’s no secret we earn £150 a day on TOWIE. But when the show is off air the guys have got to earn money.”

However, Gem has now taken to Twitter to defend her comments, saying they have “been taken out of context BIG time.”

She went on to say that “no woman/man should be threatened,” and that while she’s “not saying what Dan said was right, we all says things we wish we could take back that come out in the heat of the moment.”
