TOWIE‘s Mario Falcone has been suspended from the show for a second time after claims he was seen promoting diet pills on his social media.
The 27-year-old has reportedly been banned from filming the ITV show, and as such, won’t be jetting off on holiday with the rest of the cast.
A spokesperson for the show told The Sun: “Mario is suspended and will not be appearing in the Marbella episodes.”
He confirmed the news on Twitter, replying to one fan who asked if this was true by saying: “unfortunately so x.”
Promoting pills, such as the G’Rilla Burn Bullets that Mario was allegedly seen with, is against ITV rules.
It is not known when he will return.
Mario was temporarily suspended from TOWIE last year, following claims that he’d been caught taking drugs on camera.
Speaking to The Sun after the incident, he said: “I would like to publicly apologise to my loyal family and friends, all of my co-stars on TOWIE, to ITV and most importantly to all of the fans.
“I have been seeking professional assistance and am now fit and well. I hope that the producers and ITV will see my genuine remorse and consider allowing me to return to the show.”
He continued: “The industry we are in and the age I am, you do things that are out of character and very immature and that is part of growing up. I think it was just part of growing up.
“It wasn’t a dark place or anything like I have been in the past, it was just stupidity. It is a lesson learned.”
Marbella will also be without Ricky Rayment this year, who has also decided to take a break from the reality show ‘by mutual consent’ with the show’s producers.
