TOWIE‘s Ricky Rayment is waving goodbye to dramz and vajazzles after deciding to leave the reality show ‘by mutual consent’.
The Essex lad, who dated Jess Wright on the show, won’t be packing his bags and giving up carbs for Marbs, after reportedly ending his contract on the show on amicable terms.
Well, there’s at least ONE lovely brunette girl who’ll be glad he’s scarpering anyway.
His relationship with Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson is said to have played a part in his departure, with bosses reportedly ruling out the possibility of letting her join the show.
An insider told The Mirror: “Ricky felt it was time to go. Neither he nor Jess really wanted to keep filming together.
“The storylines weren’t moving forward. Plus his new romance with Marnie is a bone of contention as there was no way bosses would bring a character in from Geordie Shore.”
Not that she’ll be too bothered though, having previously admitted: “I don’t think I could handle the Essex lot, we’re total opposites.”
Ricky and Jess ended things *pretty* badly, with the newly loved-up lad upsetting his then-girlfriend by calling her “boring” and “rubbish” in bed on the show itself.
She then dumped him live on camera, leaving him distraught and branding the incident as “cruel.”
Still, he seems to be more than alright now, being the most smitten of all the kittens with his Geordie girl Marnie, who he began dating earlier this year.
So much so, in fact, that he apparently told his TOWIE co-stars that she could be ‘The One’.
A ‘mole’ has also told The Mirror that the couple could be in talks for their own reality show as a couple, a la Newlyweds or Katie & Peter.
The mole said: “Ricky has a huge following from TOWIE and isn’t ready to step out of the spotlight just yet. He’s mulling over his options right now.”
WELL THIS IS EXCITING.
We better go Wedding hat shopping by the sounds of it.
