It’s been a tough couple of years for Tulisa Contostavlos. After the drugs scandal which turned her world upside down, she was then rocked with more drama thanks to her, erm, completely different face.
Now, embracing her choice to undergo cosmetic surgery, the N-Dubz singer has opened up on her decision and given us an ‘inside secret’ into celebrity procedures.
Speaking to MailOnline, 26-year-old Tulisa was completely honest about her decision to give her face a slight (big) makeover, saying: “I’ve commented openly about the fact I get my lips done and that I’ve had filler in my cheek
“I’ve openly said it, it’s not like I’m hiding anything.”
OWN IT. She also gave us a supposed semi-scoop on the rest of the celebrity world, adding: “The inside secret is that everybody has something done, but just nobody talks about it.
“I’m just one of those people who won’t lie and if someone asks me I’m not going to sit there and deny it… yes, of course I have, I like them, that’s all that matters.”
We’re sure some celebs would disagree but SURE. Cool. Okay. As long as you’re happy, that’s the most important thing.
Digging a little deeper, and it seems Tulisa had a more serious reason for wanting to reinvent herself – and it all stems from that 18-months of drugs scandal hell.
She explained: “Having my lips done – I’d always wanted to do it but I was too scared.
“But then I had all this time on my hands and it wasn’t just my lips, it was the training, losing weight – I needed to channel it into something.
“When I had nothing else to do, I literally would just exercise, eat, sleep and go to the studio. That was really my routine for a year.
“Exercise became a good pass-time, a challenge, a goal that I set for myself – like I was still trying to fight for something. It definitely got me through a really hard time… It gave me another focus, and now is something that I couldn’t see myself without.”
She debuted her new look as she helped Louis Walsh during The X Factor‘s Judges’ Houses rounds, walking out of the sea like a female Daniel Craig and looking INCREDIBLE.
As well as getting ready to release her new material, she’s also made sure to keep her fingers firmly in The X Factor pie as she returned to the show to give Stereo Kicks some advice.
Don’t get kicked out might have been the best advice, but nevermind.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: “I’m proud to be part of the X Factor family and I’m very excited to be involved this year.
Anyway, we’re glad Tulisa and her lips are back and bigger/better than ever.
If we could JUST get her back on that X Factor panel…
