VIDEO Lionel Messi Signs Fan’s Shirt During Argentina’s Win Over Hong Kong

Taking a breather from scoring twice for Argentina in their friendly win over Hong Kong, Lionel Messi graciously obliged to an over-zealous fan’s request to autograph his shirt. The supporter ran onto the pitch at the Hong Kong Stadium on Tuesday and presented a pen for the four-time world player of the year to sign the Argentina shirt he was sporting. Messi complied before the man was chased off by security. Whether the treasured and now surely lucrative item remains in his possession is unknown.

It is not the first time Messi has been faced with such an incident. During the World Cup in Brazil this summer, a local fan was arrested after invading the pitch at Argentina’s training base when trying to Messi’s autograph on his shirt. Messi has also been hugged by a pitch invader in Sweden.

The friendly encounter in Hong Kong saw Messi’s Argentina cruise to a 7-0 win. The Barcelona star only came on as a substitute at halftime but still managed to get on the scoresheet twice to add to his impressive return for his country. Teammates Gonzalo Higuain and Nicolas Gaitan did the same, after Ever Banega had opened the scoring. The win completes a mini-tour of the Far East for the 2014 World Cup finalists after they lost 2-0 to fierce rivals Brazil in Beijing on Saturday.
