Cheryl Fernandez-Versini might have only been back behind The X Factor judging desk for one series, but it sounds like she’s considering booking herself a one-way ticket out of there again.
Erm, no thank you. Although she’s made a helluva impact on the show after four years away from Simon Cowell‘s smug grin and Louis Walsh‘s predictable comments, Chezza has hinted that she doesn’t want to become a permanent feature on the show.
*COUGH* LOUIS WALSH *COUGH*
Talking to The Daily Star about returning for next year’s show, the 31-year-old wasn’t EXACTLY bouncing up-and-down in her seat and/or dancing on the ceiling with excitement at the thought.
She explained: “That’s a question Simon would have to ask me himself.
“Then I would have to talk about it because it’s been very emotional.
“You get attached, you try not to but we’re human at the end of the day, you can’t help but feel the emotion, it’s tough. You’ve probably seen us shrinking week on week.”
DON’T GO CHEZZA. We love your judging (and your glaring at the others).
Cheryl was also on hand to discuss rumours that her and Mel B have started world War Three, after Chezza was NOT impressed when Mel voted to boot Lauren Platt off the show a couple of weeks ago.
She revealed: “If there was a war you would know about it, you would really know about it.
“There have been words. We are two grown women, we both know what we’re here for, we’re both professional.
“It’s not like we want to pull each other’s weaves out or anything.
“We both get very passionate so it does get a bit like: ‘Ahhh’, but we support each other at the same time because we’re going through the same experience as each other.”
GIRL POWER etc etc.
And even though she’s backing his act, Ben Haenow, to win the entire competition, Cheryl admits that Simon STILL has the power to wind her up at the click of a finger.
She admitted: “He’s annoyingly smug, it’s so annoying.
“I don’t want to go in his dressing room because you can sense the smug vibes in the corridor.”
Probably smells like burnt chest hair and Old Spice.
Or something. Anyway, we REALLY hope Cheryl stays on the panel ’cause it just won’t be the same without her, right?
