And to quote the TV judge: ‘So what?’
Mel B has taken the country by storm after blasting onto our screens as the newest, and most honest, X Factor judge of the series.
And now the star has extended her honesty to her private life, revealing that she has had a long-term relationship with a woman in the past.
Mel told the Guardian newspaper: “I did have a four-year relationship with a woman, but I’ve been very happily married for seven years to a penis.
“An amazing guy.”
We have to say, we *love* her affectionate pet name for hubby, Stephen Belafonte.
Asked what her her other ‘alf would make of being called a ‘penis’ the former Spice Girl replied: “Well, you know what I mean.
“But I’ve definitely not been shy or one to hold back – if I wanted to try something, I did.
“I had a girlfriend, so what?”
So what indeed, Ms. B.
It is believed that the woman that Mel dated was mother-of-two Christa Parker, who she met at the Los Angeles school that her eldest daughter, Phoenix, attended.
However, the 39-year-old appeared to deny rumours that she had an ‘intimate moment’ with Playboy model Luann Lee last year, while her husband waited outside.
It did sound a bit shady tbh.
She explained: “Me and my husband are very tight and solid. But I will be the first one to compliment a woman to my husband, ‘Oh my God, look at her legs’, or, ‘Doesn’t she look stunning?’
“I do think women are gorgeous. Crazy, but gorgeous.”
And her sex life isn’t all that Mel had a good ol’ natter about, with the singer also opening up about her totally RANDOM relationship with actor Eddie Murphy, with whom she has a seven-year-old daughter, Angel, with.
Mel was meanly dubbed a golddigger when she announced her pregnancy and she’s now shared just how rubbish that made her feel, saying: “It really tore me up, because I didn’t want to blab my side of the story, and I haven’t and I still won’t, out of respect for Angel and out of respect I still have for him.
“When negativity just doesn’t stop no matter which way you turn, it will at some point wear you down.
“You just think, ‘Oh my God, give me a break.’ And being pregnant, you’re emotional anyway.
“And I was by myself.”
Mel went on to reveal that she and Eddie are still good friends and see eachother whenever she’s in the area, with Scary Spice adding: “He’s a legend.”
Not as big as a legend as you, babes.
