Correct us if we’re wrong, but we thought Take That did a pretty sterling job performing as a trio for the first time on Sunday night’s X Factor.
Alright, so the dance moves were a little on the cheesy side, but who doesn’t love a cheesy boy band These Days anyway? (See what we did there? HAH).
Erm, Simon Cowell doesn’t, apparently.
That Simon vs Gary Barlow feud is still going strong then?
He might’ve looked like he was enjoying the 43-year-old chucking shapes around like there’s no tomorrow, but 55-year-old Simon was getting ready to chuck some serious shade at Gary and his bandmates after their results show performance.
Giving his honest opinion (well, we didn’t really expect anything less), Simon admitted: “The dancing was a bit iffy. Let’s put out a plea to Gary. Stevi in for… what’s his name? I can’t even remember his name. Oh, Jason.”
SO AWKWARD, we’ve even let the awkward turtle out of extinction.
Take That and their big fish, little fish, cupboard box weren’t the only victims of Simon’s wrath through, as Mel B‘s last remaining boy, Andrea Faustini, also received a verbal battering from the judge.
Did someone forget to powder Si’s nose or something?
Laying into our new favourite Italian, he said: “I actually watched it back at home and didn’t think he sounded great and I told Mel that, so she got the needle with me.
“So when he was in the bottom I was kind of gloating a little bit.”
If that wasn’t enough of a stab in the back, Simon also admitted that he doesn’t really want to see Andrea in the final. DON’T YOU LOVE PUGS OR SOMETHING?!
He revealed: “I think he’s peaked. It’s the same thing week after week.”
No Mama Faustini’s lasagne for you Simon.
Good news if you’re not a fan of the hairy chested one though, as he’s revealed plans for not one, not two BUT FOUR US TV shows next year, leaving his X Factor future plans hanging seriously in the balance.
FOUR!? How many more singing reality shows can you make? So You Think You Can Be An Opera Pop Idol Because You’ve Got The X Factor Voice And Can Sing?
Simon revealed: “There’s another show that I will be on in America — a new one, which we’ve been working on for a few months.
“Next year we’ll have a minimum of four shows on US networks.”
Yeah, good luck juggling all of that, Britain’s Got Talent AND the UK X Factor babes.
Don’t worry though, because his eyes are firmly on the X-shaped prize for now, as he’s revealed who he’d like to see in the final.
He said: “As long as Fleur and Ben are in there, we’ll have a proper final — where you just don’t know who’s gonna win. I love that idea.”
So as long as your acts are in there it’s fine? Okay good.
If you could find time between pulling your trousers up and being mean to Take That can you bring back Popstars: The Rivals please?
