Let’s cut to the chase – The X Factor has been no stranger to romances over the years. From One Direction‘s Zayn Malik and Little Mix‘s Perrie Edwards, to, erm, Chloe-Jasmine and Stevi Ritchie, we’ve seen it all.
At least, we thought we had, until Union J‘s George Shelley announced that he’s got something kinda funny going on with Only The Young‘s parisa Tarjomani.
Strange but true, y’all.
DON’T THEY LOOK CUTER THAN A BUTTON TOGETHER?!
Having known each other for two years, 21-year-old George has admitted that the two are very open about their feelings, and that there could be a cheeky little romance on the cards.
He told Star magazine: “We are really close and we love each other to bits, and we admit we love each other to bits.
“We’ve got a very special relationship. It’s something a bit more than friends but we’re not quite a couple, of you know what we mean.
“I think both us are at the right stages in our lives to be in a relationship.”
PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE. They’d be so cute together, don’t’cha think?
The two lovebirds met at the X Factor auditions two years ago, way before the times of OTY and Union J.
Initially, George auditioned as a solo act and Parisa as part of a girl group, but both were kicked off during boot camp.
Weirdly, George then temporarily became part of OTY, before he got called back to join Triple J AKA Union J. Errr, now we kinda want to see an OTY/Union J collaboration please and thank you.
Sadly, OTY’s X Factor journey came to an end this week as they became Saturday night’s double elimination victims.
How? We don’t ACTUALLY know.
Speaking exclusively to Yahoo Celebrity, Parisa, Mikey Bromley, Charlie George and Betsy-Blue English explained why they seemed to have changed from their first auditions to the live shows.
Parisa told us: “When we auditioned we were showing the judges who we were as a band and they were the ones who were letting us into the competition.
“So when we got the privilege to be on the live shows you have to exaggerate what you would usually do.
“We don’t have any regrets. Some of the things we wore we wouldn’t in every day life but that’s what makes it a TV show and that’s what we believe got us so far.”
“You’ve got to adapt to the show,” Betsy added.
We still love you anyway – and if you could make that Union J collab happen, we’d love you even more than George loves Parisa.
