The X Factor’s not doing so well at this secret keeping thing.
After Lola Saunders was accidentally revealed as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s wildcard act thanks to a not-so-subtle editing blunder, rejected boy band Overload have been spotted leaving the actual contestant’s house – and now the FULL wildcard line-up has been announced. Oops.
Congrats everyone. WELL DONE.
It looks like bosses just gave up on the whole thing, as the Daily Star have let all the cats out of all the bags and revealed the full wildcard line-up. HURRAH.
*SPOILER ALERT* – Here are the four wildcards if you’d like to know:
Aside from Lola Saunders and Overload, Stevi Ritchie from the Over-25s category will be coming back with his brilliant dance moves, and ex-student Jack Walton has been given a chance to show his worth in Mel B’s Boys category.
Nope, can’t argue with those!
If you’ve skipped the official reveal, it’s safe to look NOW – unless you don’t want to read about the discover of Overload as a wildcard.
According to an eagle-eyed source for The Daily Mail, four fifths of Overload were spotted leaving the contestant’s crib in a car on Tuesday night. Sneaky!
“They drove down the road and parked up down a side road near Cockfosters station. Then four boys got out to have a smoke. We recognised them as the group Overload from X Factor so we drove past and wished them luck in the show.
They said ‘thank you’ and then one member quickly said “oh but we were kicked out at bootcamp.””
AWKS. Sounds like the chinese whisper to keep the Wildcard results on the hush-hush got lost in translation around this lot.
Better luck next year, right producers?
Meanwhile, oblivious to all the rubbish secret keeping going on, Louis Walsh has appeared on Loose Women to talk about his controversial decision to kick the boy band off and to reveal who’s Wildcard entry he picked. Oooh the drama!
“I cannot tell you who they are [Louis’ wildcard], but we all picked wildcards for the other judges. I picked somebody for Cheryl and I think she picked an act for me!”
Louis already has strange blonde duo Blonde Electra, 8-piece mega boy band who are still nameless and four-piece favourites Only The Young.
Cheryl’s wildcard Lola, who’ll be joining Stephanie Nala, Lauren Platt and Chloe-Jasmine Whichello, was accidentally revealed in ITV2’s The Xtra Factor after a major editing fail.
During the show, a shot of the three final girls having a play on the piano also showed Lola sneaking around the house through glass doors.
ACTUAL. GLASS. DOORS.
Good one guys.
Since then, Lola’s selection as wildcard has been confirmed, and the ex-fishmonger has been spotted exiting the contestants’ house under a fashionable grey blanket.
Eagle-eyed X Factor fans weren’t exactly thrilled at the embarrassing blunder, taking to social media to express their feelings:
One fan wrote: “guess lola saunders is the wildcard thanks xtra factor.”
Another added: “Pretty sure xtrafactor just showed Lola Saunders walking past the window in the X factor house #wildcard #woops.”
