She was plonked in between them on the X Factor 2014 judging panel to calm things down.
And now Mel B has spilled the beans for the first time on the on-going feud between Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.
Appearing on an XF special of Celeb Juice, which airs on Thursday night, the former Spice Girl shouted down the infamous Irish judge, who claimed that things had been patched up between him and Mrs Ferndadez-Versini.
Replying to Keith Lemon’s question about whether he and the Girls Aloud star don’t really like each other, Louis pleaded: “We do. It’s just stories in the paper. We do.”
But Mel B chimed in loudly: “No you don’t. No you don’t. I sit in-between them.”
Fellow Spice Girl – and mentor at Judge’s Houses – Emma Bunton added: “That’s an exclusive”.
Backing down on his original enthusiasm for the 31-year-old Geordie popstar, Louis said: “I like her more this year. I think she’s in a good place this year.”
Well talk about being damned with faint praise.
Meanwhile our Chez has been having a moan to former contestant Rylan Clark on This Morning about those pesky chairs.
Cheryl, who got a chorus of boos for her decision-making during the ep, two weekends ago said: “I haven’t even watched it back. The thing for me and what people don’t realise is I had the toughest and the most. I think there were a lot of girls that weren’t even shown in the end because I had too many of them because there was that many. It was the strongest category.”
“I was not enjoying a moment of that. It was horrendous. I’ll never do it again…”
Talking about what’s in store for the live shows which air for the first time this weekend, she added: “Well they are all obviously very different, so we’ll be doing very different things and the themes will have a lot to do with it… but I want them to talk to me too so it’ll be collaborative.”
