X Factor 2014′s Stevi Ritchie Loses A Stone In ONE Week At Boot Camp

X Factor’s Stevi Ritchie (remember him?) has managed to shed an entire stone in just one week at a special Fitness boot camp, which we can only imagine was a whole world different to the last boot camp he attended…

The 34-year-old has revealed that he gained so much weight during the X Factor live finals that he was struggling to breathe when performing, and cruel Twitter jibes from viewers were starting to get him down.

So, taking matters into his own hands and putting our New Year Resolution efforts to shame, Stevi enrolled in a seriously tough boot camp, signing himself up for a week in “hell”.

And apparently it was such a challenge that it made X Factor look like a walk in the park, with Stevi revealing: “It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Handling Simon Cowell as your category boss in X Factor is easy in comparison.

“I badly needed to get in shape. I was the heaviest I have been for a couple of years and was disgusted by my body. I badly need to shed the flab.”

And didn’t he do well?

The crooner has swapped pasta, takeaways and beer for smoked salmon and fresh vegetables, dropping from 15st 4lbs to 14st 4lbs in those seven days – talk about impressive.

Speaking about his time on the ITV talent show, Stevi adds: “I must have put on half a stone – around 1lb for every week that I was on the live shows. ITV take care of everything so you are very well looked after.

“I had a few fans saying that I had put on weight when I was on the show. I remember one saying I was struggling for breath when I was singing and dancing and it really made me think.

“I’ve been doing a lot of gigs too and drinking beers which don’t help with piling on the pounds. It all left me in pretty bad shape.”

Not to mention those cheeky Harvester dinner dates with his new bezzie, Simon Cowell, eh?

Getting into tip-top shape just in time for the X Factor Live tour, the dad-of-one is thankful that he has now learned more about the basics of Healthy eating, sharing: “It has been torture, but good torture – my body needed it. The trainers have outlined a great fitness regime which I can carry on at home.

“And I’ve learned so much about food and nutrition. No more scooping peanut butter straight out of the jar for me.”

No more scooping peanut butter out of the jar?! He’s certainly a stronger person than we are…
