We’ve still got about as much of a clue as to what the HECK is going on with this year’s X Factor line-up as we do about algebra, and Louis Walsh‘s latest admissions really aren’t helping.
Speaking about this year’s judging panel, Louis initially said he “wasn’t hanging around” for the show this year, but then insisted he hasn’t been fired. Nor has he been hired.
OH RUDDY HECK. Someone get Sir Alan Sugar involved and let’s just get a definitive answer on this shall we?
Preferably you’re hired for Louis, ‘kay thanks.
After heart-breaking rumours that the 62-year-old had been given the ol’ sacking from Simon Cowell himself, the man himself has spoken out to deny that he was told to pack his bags and leave.
He told MailOnline: “People keep asking me what’s happening with X Factor, but – honestly – I don’t know.
“I definitely haven’t been fired, but I haven’t been hired either, so it’s all up in the air. Either way, there are two empty seats to fill, but that’s all I know.
“More importantly, I feel at peace with whatever happens.
“Although he’s a little crazy, I love working with Simon.
“We’ve been friends for more than a decade and have a real bromance, so it would be sad in that respect, but he left me a voicemail yesterday saying ‘Don’t worry, Louis, I’ll look after you no matter what’, so it’s all good.”
Louis also had his say on the rumours that Nick Grimshaw could be joining the show, adding: “Yeah, he is [qualified for the job] – because he knows what’s going on in the world of pop.
“He knows what’s cool and what’s not. His only problem is that he wears unusual clothes, but – then again – so does Simon, so they’ll get along famously.”
Errr, okay then.
We know Louis wants to go back to focusing on management, but can he appear on at least ONE X Factor episode this year please? We’re not sure we could cope without his quips. SOB.
