We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but Zoella (AKA Zoe Sugg) has denied all those rumours that Simon Cowell was recruiting her to present this year’s Xtra Factor, after Sarah-Jane Crawford called it a day.
Yep, it’s another day, another load of rumours about who is and isn’t joining this year’s X Factor line-up, but rather than focusing on the judges, today’s reports focus on the ITV side-show, which already has the likes of Brian Dowling, Jim Chapman, Joe Sugg and LOADS more apparently auditioning to get involved.
Suspense is nice and everything, but can someone just STOP THE MADNESS and tell us what the bloomin’ ‘eck is going on, please? We would rather like the full judges/Xtra Factor presenters line-up, and we’d like it now.
It was being rumoured that incredible YouTube sensation Zoella was a ‘favourite’ to take the presenting job on ITV2, with a source telling The Sun: “There is serious interest in Zoella and Simon is keen to hear how she developed such a huge online following with young people.
“Simon wants ideas that are different and is really thinking outside the box when it comes to shaking up the show.”
The paper also reported that the vlogger was seen seemingly filming a secret for the show in central London this week, although insiders have said it’s not connected to The X Factor at all.
With an astonishing 8 million subscribers on her main channel, a publishing-record-breaking book called ‘Girl Online’ and her very own beauty range, it’s not that hard to see why she’d be an awesome choice for the show.
Sadly though, Zoella has denied the rumours on Twitter, replying to one fan who asked her about it by saying it was all “so untrue.”
