While we are all jumping for joy at the news that Olly Murs and Caroline Flack will be replacing Dermot O’Leary as the gorgeous hosts of singing show The X Factor, Olly has admitted that he’s basically shaking in his boots at the thought of his big TV comeback.
N’aww, you’ll be fine babes – just imagine the studio audience in their underwear.
Speaking to Free Radio, the 30 year old admitted that it’s not just the live, prime time show that he’s worried about, he’s also super scared about following in X Factor icon Dermot’s footsteps.
He explained: “I can’t wait, it’s going to be amazing. I think nerves have definitely kicked in a little bit. I’m like, ‘Wow, it’s going to be quite an amazing thing to do’.
“Obviously at the moment I’m focusing on the tour, but I’m really excited. It’s going to be really tough for me and Caroline, obviously replacing someone like Dermot.”
WE HAVE FAITH IN YOU, OLLY.
Despite having a bad case of ~the fear~, Olly did go on to admit that he reckons he and Cazza are exactly what the show needs to help liven it up, adding: “When we did ‘The Xtra Factor’, the show had never had a twosome do it before.
“It’s the first time the ‘X Factor’, the main show, has had that. So we are looking to bring something fresh, something different.
“Of course Ant and Dec are the pinnacles of that, and do it so well.
“So we just want to be ourselves and have a lot of fun and I think it’s going to be really great. I think ‘X Factor’ and Simon Cowell wanted to revamp the show, and do some new changes, and obviously we are delighted to be a part of it.
“I’m excited! I love TV and I love The X Factor’.”
Who doesn’t Olly, who doesn’t.
